As many of you who know us are aware, strange things happen in our house. It got to the point that we called in a paranormal team to find some answers. All I can say about this investigations is: interesting! After the investigation, the team blessed the house. We were feeling great about this and ready to get on with our lives.
It started all over again the very next day! Something pushed an amazing homemade coconut cake out of my hands and it crashed into the floor. YAY! it didn't leave!!!!
Since then, things have just gotten creepier: hearing each other's voices, my husbands footsteps, and just all kinds of random things that we cannot explain away. Getting fed up here!
On a happier note, Carolina Paranormal Investigators will be here Friday evening to show us what they found and tell us about their experiences. Maybe they have some answers for us!

Just the Beginning
I moved in with my now husband about a month before we gob married. Naturally, there was a rift in the environment of the house. But still, it was the things we expected. Things moving on thier own, getting cold for no reason, lights turning on by themselves, and stuff being moved across the room in the middle of the night. Then, once again, things calmed back down. Finally, we were married, and expecting our little prince in just a few months. Like I said, things were normal *for this house*.
Our LP is born, and we bring him home from the hospital. One day, I was sitting on the couch feeding him, when he looks up, like he is looking at someone and SMILES, just like he smiles at me. Who is he smiling at? I talk to my mother, my DH, my MIL, and FIL. Appearantly he sees ghosts.... and the fun begins. I get used to this, and know that nothing will hurt him, life is back to normal.
THEN ONE DAY, in our bedroom, I was playing with my little prince, when he looks into the corner of the bedroom laughs for a few seconds, and the screams... like i am ripping his arm off. OK, I've had enough!
Once again, the house is cleansed. Things seem to go back to normal... little did I know, this was just the beginning...

A little back history of my previous experiences in this house:
About four years ago, my now husband and I first started dating. Things happened from the very beginning, but not that often. The first weekend I was at his house staying the night, I couldn't sleep. I was just very uneasy. I got up in the middle of the night to get some water, and much to my surprise, THE CABINET DOORS WERE STANDING WIDE OPEN. I didn't mention anything about it, because 1- I thought he would think I was crazy. 2- Maybe someone was playing a trick on me. Later, his parents told me that this had happened to them.
Small things continued to happen, I would smell Old Spice (something no one who lives here wears), hear footsteps, smell sage, and hear voices. I got used to it.
Over the years, my now husband, and I have broken up and gotten back together. When we got back together, almost 2 years ago, we basically picked up where we left things. I stayed with him several weekends without anything really happening.
One weekend, however, I got off work, went straight to his house, and things were different. There was a very oppressive feeling to the house. In his bedroom, I felt as if I couldn't even sit up straight. Something was pressing down on me. My love cleansed the room, and things were better, in that part of the house. Things were just happening in the rest of the house.
A bowl flew off the counter and spilled coffee grinds everywhere, I would hear my now husband walk up behind me, and no one was there. The strangest thing to me was when I would get so cold I would start to shiver... this is very much unlike me, I wear shorts outside in the snow.
After we found out our Little Prince was on the way, we decided I would move in, and eventually decided to go ahead and get married. This is when the fun really began!

*And Now To Present Day*
Keep in mind that the things I have previously mentioned are NOT the only experiences I have had, just a basic idea of what I grew up with. As I remember things I will consider posting them, but It will be hard because there have been so many incidences. ... And now to present day!

Time Changes Us
As I grew older and moved around, it all continued. THEN, I moved to the area where I now live. Ideas and beliefs are different here and in my mother's family, and they started telling me stories. My mother's mom made me feel like I was crazy for seeing things and for "knowing" things. Eventually my encounters and abilities came to a stand still. I kind of missed seeing people, but at the same time, it was nice to feel "normal"
Still, I grew older and began to realize that it didn't matter what they thought anyway, and slowly began to see things once again. I would see people walking across yards, and in other random places. I began to pay more attention to the things happening around me, like doors shutting on their own, footsteps when no one was around, my name being called when no one was thre; still, I didn't think too much of it.
Until one day, I was at home alone. By this time, I was around twenty-five. I was sitting on my bed, and had just gotten off the phone, with my then, soon to be husband. I was just about to stand up and walk into the kitchen when I heard a noise. I realize that it was the door on the screened-in porch slamming. Then I hear footsteps across the porch, the front door opening and closing, someone stomping through the house, the back door opening and closing, and someone running down the back steps. My first thought was, "OMG WHO WAS IN MY HOUSE" Then, after I calm down, I realize that the doors were definately locked, and there is no way that someone came in. I double checked the locks, and they are all locked.
This was just the beginning of the journey that lead to this point.

It Happens All The Time
By the time I turned about seven, I was used to these things. It never scared me, I just pretty much tried to ignore it because I knew it kind of bothered my mom. For the most part, I didn't mention these encouters to her. The hardest thing for her was that she really didn't believe in ghosts until I came along. Like I said, my encounters were just a part of every day life by this point. One night, I was asleep in my bed and I slowly started waking. My eyes were about half open when I realize that someone was in my room. Like I said, I was used to these things, so it didn't scare me, YET. When my eyes opened all the way, and I realized what I was seeing, then I was scared. I saw a teenage girl sitting in my floor with candles encircling her and a dagger in her hand. She looked at me and gave me an unnerving smile, took the dagger to her wrist, and slowly cut her wrist. She looked at me again. I got up, went into the bathroom, got some water, and returned to my bedroom. She was gone.
The next morning, I told my mom about the girl who "cut herself." She told me it was a bad dream, which made me feel a little better; until I heard the conversation she had with our neighbors. My mom asked our neighbors if anything strange happened in the house. The told her that strange things happened around there, and then told them a story about a girl who got caught up with "devil-worshipping" and killed herself IN MY BEDROOM!
After this, things went back to normal, nothing really affected me, after all, it happens all the time.

No Where Near The Beginning or End
My entire life I have experienced the paranormal... it just became part of who i was. I saw ghosts, and to me they aren't like what you think. They look like the rest of us, just their clothing, demeanor, or words are out of context of the time or place. It never scared me, in fact, it took a while for me to actually realize that they weren't alive like me. This happened from the time I was pretty small.
Other things happened to me, as well. I would hear footsteps, things would break around me, and red lights would even change to green when I wanted them to. I also would have bad feelings about people, and then later learn that they weren't exactly good people. I eventually learned to listen to my heart. It actually got to the point that my Mother no longer found it strange when these things would happen. There was actually an incident when I was around seven that continues to stick out in my memories and makes me realize just what my Mother was dealing with.
One night, my Mother decided that she would let me stay up late and watch a scary movie with her and my step-father, this would turn out to be the last time I was allowed to watch a horror that involved a little girl. The movie didn't scare me and I fell asleep quite easily. However, in the middle of the night, I dreamed that i was being dragged down a long hallway and woke screaming. Something had my foot. My Mother and step-father ran into my room and informed me that my foot was tangled in my curtain. [this would be the last time I slept with my feet near a window] They calmed me down and sat down on my bed to talk to me. I looked out my window and screamed... there was an old man walking across our yard... IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. My Mother proceeded to tell me that it was my mind playing tricks on me. They once again calmed me and put me back to bed. I was just about to drift off when I heard my step-father ask my Mother if I saw ghosts and she told him yes. That was the last mention of that night or the fact that I could see ghosts. I know, this doesn't seem THAT strange, but just a year or two ago I got the whole story.
Years later, while I was pregnant with my little prince, I had a dream about my great-granny. She was telling me that my LP would be special. I asked my Mother about this and she told me that she was told the same thing by my great-granny when she was pregnant with me. We continue the conversation and eventually talk about that night, when I was just seven years old. I didn't realize until this moment that I in fact did not have the entire story. I was not aware of the fact that my Mother and step-father were in fact ON THE PORCH, several rooms away, when they had the conversation about my seeing ghosts--- and I really do not have the best hearing. HOW DID I HEAR THIS? Also, my Mother did not say "yes" out loud, she simply nodded in response to my step-father's question about my seeing ghosts.
This conversation has caused me to really ponder some of my memories and experiences.
This is no where near the beginning or end, just what caused me to try and figure it all out.
